Please be advised that our office, as well as the Japan Patent Office, will be closed on
the following national holidays:

• April 26 (Saturday)
• April 27 (Sunday)
• April 29 (Tuesday) – Showa Day, a holiday to honor the birthday of Emperor Showa
• May 3 (Saturday) – Constitution Day
• May 4 (Sunday) – Greenery Day
• May 5 (Monday) – Children’s Day
• May 6 (Tuesday) – Substitute holiday for Greenery Day, which falls on Sunday

We would greatly appreciate it if you could send us any new applications or instructions for
office actions with deadlines falling on any of the above holidays as far in advance as
possible.

Please note:

Deadlines falling on April 28, April 30, May 1, and May 2, 2025, will not be
extended, as these are regular business days in Japan.
All intellectual property deadlines falling on April 29, 2025, will be automatically
extended to April 30, 2025.

All deadlines falling on May 3, 4, 5, and 6, 2025, will be automatically extended to
May 7, 2025.
